Things to Do

Exploring Vermont in the Summer

Vermont has so much to offer in the summer, and we encourage you to make the most of your time here!

Outdoor Activities

As a distinguished guest of the wedding, you’ll have full access to Kingsland Bay State Park, a beautiful spot on Lake Champlain—so don’t forget your bathing suit! In addition to the park, there are plenty of swimming holes, lakes, and rivers nearby. Feel free to bring your fishing rod, canoe, or anything else to enjoy the water.

If you’re up for a hike, there are fantastic options in the area. For a challenge with breathtaking views of the White Mountains in New Hampshire and the Adirondacks in New York, check out Mt. Abraham, Camel’s Hump, or Mount Mansfield. If you prefer something shorter, we recommend The Falls of Lana in Salisbury, Sunset Ledge in Bristol, or Mt. Philo in Shelburne.

Food & Drinks

Vermont is home to incredible breweries and restaurants, especially between Middlebury and Burlington. Some of our favorite breweries include Zero Gravity in Burlington, Fiddlehead in Shelburne, and Foam along the Burlington waterfront. As for restaurants, it’s hard to choose, but a few top picks are American Flatbread, Jessica’s, and Hen of the Wood.
